Sponsor the 2027 Reading Challenge

In partnership with more than 235 libraries, schools, bookstores, and community organizations, Massachusetts Center for the Book's Adult Reading Challenge engages thousands of residents across the Commonwealth each year. Participants read one book per month in response to themed prompts, share recommendations, and connect through local discussions and public events, including year-end celebrations in both the Boston metro area and Western Massachusetts. For 2026, MCB distributed more than 20,000 Reading Challenge materials to partners statewide. The program promotes literacy, fosters social connection, and strengthens local cultural networks by creating a shared reading experience accessible to adults of all backgrounds and reading levels.
