National Book Festival 2008

On Saturday, September 27, 2008, 125,000 people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC, to celebrate books and reading.
Massachusetts authors who participated in the festival this year were Jan Brett (who created the festival poster), Mary Brigid Barrett, Geraldine Brooks, Marc Brown, Dan Chiasson, Tony Horwitz and Paul Theroux.
